Two Pakistani nationals out of three men escaped from an observatory in Jammu: officials

Three inmates, including two Pakistani nationals, reportedly escaped from Jammu’s RS Pura Juvenile Home on Monday (February 16, 2026).

The police identified the fugitives as Karajeet Singh, a resident of Dablehar RS Pura, and Mohd Suna-ullah and Ahsan Anwar, both Pakistani nationals.

Initial reports indicated that the incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. The trio allegedly assaulted the guards on duty and managed to escape from the facility. One of the accused also brandished a pistol to threaten the staff of the observation house. “The injured policemen have been given medical treatment,” officials said. “An investigation has been initiated,” officials said.

Monitoring prisoners

Officials said special teams have been formed to track down the escaped prisoners. They added that several raids were also conducted at multiple locations to find escaped prisoners.
