The West Godavari District Police watched two smaller girls to Chennai within 24 hours of their disappearance from the rural area Tadepalligud. Girls aged 16 and 14 have left their homes on the night of June 12 and reportedly tried to flee with their relevant friends.
Girls who are neighbors were led by their friends to travel to Chennai by train. The incident came out after their parents filed a complaint to the police.
Superintendent West Godavari police Adnan Nayeem Asmi said that smaller girls arrived in Chennai, where they allegedly tried to escape with their friends. “Based on the records of call data, the girls were traced. They were safely brought back to the tadepalligud and were handed over to their families.”
