Two men of the “Ekta Manch Sanatani” group were arrested after Wednesday (April 30, 2025) inserted a Pakistani flag on the walls of the Bongaon toilet in the northern district of West Bengal 24. The police said it was an attempt to cause a communal incident.
The flag was found on the walls of the toilet next to the Akaipur railway station under the Gopalnagar police station in Bongaon.
According to the police superintendent Bongaon, Dinesh Kumar, both arrested by men confessed. According to police officials, they were both identified as Chandan Malakar (30) and Progyajit Mondal (45), local residents and active members of the political party.
