This March, the visual elements of the premiere of Narendra Modi, which fed the lion’s chick in the inauguration of “Vantara”, an animal rescue center, caves, protection and rehabilitation center, established Reliance, along with the Reliance Foundation, became viruses on social media. He brought memories of pets for pets, including two lions and bear chicks, led by former main minister Tamil Mg Ramacandran, known as Mgr.
Among the things of the politics of the inverted actor, who are exhibited in his Memorial House in T. Nagar in Chennai, is a taxidermized lion. It does not seem to have deprived of his majestic appearance of Raja, the male lion. It was purchased in Calcutta (Calcata) images Mgr for some scenes in hit-film overpoint Mannan. According to December 1957, the release of Nadigan Kural magazine bought Mgr Pictures two lion cubs – Raja and Rani – in Calcutta for 15,000 GBP and trained them. They were one and a half -foot tall and kept in a cage on Lloyds Road in Royapedah. “As Raja died unexpectedly, the woman was dedicated to the Zoo in Chennai Corporation Zoo near the central railway station (where the zoo was located at that time),” says the magazine. A copy of the problem is still led by Mgr Pradeep, Grand-designed Mgr. Interestingly, Mgr was a publisher of the magazine. The editor was the actor and theater personality TK Shanmugam, known as Avvai TK Shanugam. Although many still believe that Raja was listed on Mgr in Adimai Penn, Mgr himself said in an interview that he had bought the Liony chicks on the scene in the mannan. The very fact that the interview was carried out in 1957 shows that the lion could not be listed in Adimai Penn because it was released only in 1969.
Buffalo attacked
MCC Chandran, the son of an older brother Mg Mg Chakrapani, remembered in an interview how the lioness once escaped and attacked the buffalo on Lloyds Road. “Fortunately, nothing happened, because the nail of the lion was cropped. Mani, the lion administrator, tried to control the lionesses and brought it to the cage,” he said. He also made it clear that the lions were used for some scenes in Mannan.
Kumar Rajendran, attorney and Grand-contorce Mgrov’s wife Janaki Ramacandran, said both animals were siblings and the man was taxidermized after his death. First it was held on Lloyds Road, then transported to Ramapuram Gardens, where Mgr lived before moving to T. Nagar.
In his interview, Mgr said he made a film (Nadodi Mannan) with a lot of ideas and reports relevant to society. “I wanted to have a lion fighting scene in the film, and for this purpose I bought a male chick and a female chick and I kept them,” Mgr said. He was inspired by scenes in an English film in which the hero would fight with three lions. In his plans, however, he could not succeed because the man died of kidney failure. “I donated a woman to the company’s zoo. I subsequently changed the top scene of Mannan and it was a great success. Although the lion died, it ensured a roaring success for the film,” Mgr. Mgr’s eagerness to record a movie with a scene fighting lion’s lion remained without lifting; He used a lion for a fighting scene in Adimai Penn.
“Activists for animal care learned about my plans to have a scene with a lion and issued announcements and said I should send an animal to the zoo. Fortunately, the animal survived. We took a lot of pain to shoot the scenes. I just risk my life shot,” Mgr said.
Bear cub at home
Love Mgr for animals was explained by the officer Ias T. Picandi, who worked as his secretary. “In his residence he held chicks and dogs. He even appointed an animals for animals and carers,” writes Mr. Pichandi in his recent book Ynakkul Manakkum Mgr Ninaivugal (memories of Mgr in me). Mr Picandi also reveals that the current Arignar Anna Zoology Park in Vandalur was the result of Mgr’s interest in the welfare of animals dying of pollution in the society zoo. “There was a discussion with forest department officials who suggested that the forest area in the vandalurus would be an ideal place. He accepted the proposals and orders were issued in 1978. Vandalur was developed since 1979. The zoo animals were moved. Inauguration of the vandalur zoo in July 1985 was the first official position to attend Mgr as the main minister after returning from the US treatment
