At least two Lamborghinis caught fire after crashing on a road in the Cypress area of ​​Texas on Monday (local time), the fire department said.

Media reports, citing a dispatch from the Cy-Fair Fire Department, said cars were involved in the crash at the Highway 99 feeder and Jack Road. According to firefighters, there were no injuries, as the drivers managed to escape from the cars.

Firefighters at the scene said they saw both Lamborghinis in the wake of the crash, with one on fire. Photos released by firefighters show both cars with significant damage.

According to CHRON, a Houston-based digital news website, the exact cause of the crash remains unknown and police are investigating the incident. When first responders arrived, they found one of the Lamborghinis engulfed in flames.

US 75 remains closed for several hours Tuesday

In a separate incident, at least two people were killed in a head-on crash that closed the southbound lanes of US 75 at Royal Lane, officials said. The crash happened shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday at US 75 and Valleydale Drive, the Dallas Police Department said.

According to reports, rescue teams were initially dispatched after reports of at least two vehicles crashing and several trapped inside.

Investigators say a sedan traveling the wrong way on US 75 collided with an SUV, the report said. Police said the driver of the sedan was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the SUV were taken to the hospital, where the passenger later died, while the driver remains in critical condition.

Traffic was diverted to the US 75 service road at Royal Lane for several hours as authorities investigated the crash.
