Two killed, three others injured in separate road accidents in Bengaluru
Two people died and three others sustained injuries in separate road accidents in Bengaluru on Sunday.
A 63-year-old autorickshaw driver was killed in the first incident. The accident occurred near the ISKCON temple in Mahalakshmi Layout and involved a KSRTC bus, a truck and an autorickshaw. The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Muktiyar. Two passengers traveling in the autorickshaw sustained minor injuries and are undergoing treatment.
According to the police, the accident occurred around 6 pm when a truck allegedly hit the autorickshaw from behind. The impact caused the vehicle to lose control and collide with a KSRTC bus that was traveling in front of the autorickshaw. The driver died at the scene.
Malleswaram traffic police conducted an inspection and registered a case. Further investigation is underway.
A motorcyclist ran over
In another accident, a 36-year-old motorcyclist died in Kengeri on Sunday after he reportedly fell from his vehicle on the road and was run over by a truck.
The deceased was identified as Chetan, 36, a resident of Kengeri. According to the police, Chetan was returning home from work on a motorcycle when he allegedly lost control and fell on the road. A truck coming from behind ran him over and killed him on the spot.
The Kengeri Traffic Police conducted an inspection and registered a case. Further investigation is underway.
