
Two people passengers on the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) (TNSTC) were on Sunday at police checks at Christianpet Village near Katado in Vellore at Tamil Nadu – Andhra Pronadesh detained 10 kgs Ganja.
The arrested persons were identified as N. Vijay Anand (50), a native of Ulundurpettai in the Kallakurichi district and his friend G. Satishumar, 30 from Gingee. The initial question revealed that during the routine check of the vehicle the police team checked for checkpost on the southern buses from Tirupathi. Tirupati – Kanyakumari bus stopped and checked passengers and their bags. The duo held every bag. The police checked their bags and found five kg of Ganja in each bag.
They were immediately transported to the Katado police station, where the duo told the police that they were buying Ganja from Tirupati sellers. They got on board the government buses and traveled by standing to avoid the initial checks of the crew of buses and police supervision on the route. They sell a small amount of smugglers to the buyer, especially to tourists and industrial workers in Tiruvannamei. The police registered the case against them. They were stored in the central prison in Vellore. The probe is running.
