Two people, including a teenager, died on Sunday to a pond at the police station Madanayakanahalli.
The deceased was identified as Dhan Raj, 14, and Prabhakar, 28, from Thimmenhalli in Bengaluru North Taluk.
According to the police, Dhan Raj entered the pond to get a cricket ball that fell into it. Because he couldn’t swim, he began to drown. Prabhakar, who owned a nearby tea stand, saw Dhan Raj and jumped into the pond to save him. But both drowned. Fire and emergency services and police staff were alerted. After a few hours of search operations, they rushed to the place and restored the bodies and moved to the hospital for post mortem.
