
In the next incident of alleged hooliganism, two emergency doctors were physically attacked by persons accompanying the critical patient to the GBP hospital in the early Sunday hours (August 3, 2025). While the matter was reported to the police, they did not act in accordance with the law and returned without detention of the accused, the protesters said.
The incident occurred when the family members rushed to the Bimal Sarkar Hospital, the residents of Narayanpur after alcohol -mixed Paraquat. The patient was immediately admitted to the emergency medicine department and all emergency treatment was administered.
At that time, three doctors were on duty on duty who participated in all incoming cases. The doctor said the hospital, the only recommendation in the state, received a total of 110 emergency patients from the entire tripura to the late Saturday (August 2, 2025).
Of the three doctors, Dr. Litan das and Dr. Abhik Deb physically attacked and verbally abused by the patient. Dr. Das was reportedly the main goal when participating in the patient.
Employees from a private agency are deployed in the emergency and other GBP hospital departments, but are often criticized for not responding immediately to the calls of doctors for help.
Over the years, the incidents of doctors, especially those published in the emergency department, have been reported. In several such cases, the police action against the perpetrators reportedly lacked.
