Two employees died and others were hospitalized after allegedly breathed poison gas in Sai Sreyas Pharmaceutical Private Limited, located in the village of Thanam in Jawaharlal Nezru Pharma City (JNPC) in the Parawada district in the Anakapall district. The incident occurred late on Wednesday (June 11, 2025).
The deceased were identified as P. Chandrasekhar (32) from Hyderabad and S. Kumar (25) from Munagapak in the Anakapall district. The third employee, B. Baisal of Odisha, is currently undergoing treatment.
According to the inspector of the Police Station Parawada, R. Mallikarjuna Rao, all three employees of the Security Department were. The incident occurred during the night shift when employees carried out the waste water treatment procedures (ETP) before they transferred it to the normal ETP. Gas, suspect that it was released during the waste processing process and workers immediately collapsed.
“After some time, around 12:30, when other workers arrived to serve tea, they found that the three lying unconscious. They were immediately hurried to the hospital,” said Malikararjuna Rao.
Union requires compensation of 1 crore
Mr. Ganisetti Satyanarayana from the Center of Indian Trade Unions (Cit) demanded compensation from the families of the deceased employees.
The investigation is on and there are officials from the department of factories and the Council for Control of Pollution.
