Officials said the last ceremonies of the victims, the dorjay jigmet, 25, the inhabitants of Kharnakleng Village, and Stanzin Namgyal, 23 years, Igoo Village resident, took place in Leh in Leh and 14:30 and 2:30 hours
When funeral prayers were conducted and relatives paid tribute, security was tightened across Lewn. The most sensitive location was barricated with barbed wire. The Internet has also remained suspended in the light.
The locals said the funeral prayers of two other victims, Rinchen Dadul, 20, from the village of Hana, and Tsewang Tharchin, 46 years, from the village of Skur Buchan, are scheduled for Monday (September 29, 2025). Tharchin served in Skauch Ladakh and took part in the 1999 Kargil War.
Governor Lieutenant Ladakh Kavinder Gupta organized a security session attended by the highest officials.
Four civilians died and about 90 were injured as protesters, supported the requirements for statehood and sixth status, clash with security forces. This came the day after two protesters were hospitalized. The third -day hunger strike was headed by Sonam Wangchuk, a detailed climatic activist.
The Chairman of the Congress Committee J&K Pradesh, Tariq Hameed Karra replied to the events in Leh and said, “The Ladakh government and the center are very wrong if they believe that the normality will return to Mr. Wangchu’s easily arrest.”
“In Ladakh there is a riots in Ladak’s own work of BJP. The same people who once encouraged the abolition of Article 370 now feel betrayed by unfulfilled promises. The anger of youth, unemployment and denial of the sixth rights on plans pushed them on the streets,” Karra added.
The leader’s request has rejected
Meanwhile, the Sleader’s administration refused the request of Tashi Gyalson, the General Council of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council-Le (LahDC-Be), to participate in the latest ceremonies. The administration also extended the closure of all educational institutions to 28 September.
Mr. Gyalson, the leader of the BJP, also joined the votes that demanded an investigation into violence that broke out on September 24th in the ease. “I wrote a lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupt and demanded an investigation into the provocations that resulted in violence, as well as the probe to indulge in force against the protesters,” said Mr. Gyalson.
Meanwhile, they are scheduled to visit Delhi (September 29) for a preparatory meeting with the Ministry of the Interior. This will be followed by the main meeting with the High Executive Committee of the MHA 6 October.
