When the Indian Premier League (IPL) reaches fever, Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) has proved great as one of the most faithful fanbas. Azzu Sultan and Parashuram Shetty, Authorickshaw Drivers, have shown that Sultan and Parashuram Shetty launched a unique initiative that provides free rides that dress RCB jerseys.
The inspiration of Mr. Sultan was based on the decision Chennai Metro Rail Limited to offer free travel during the RCB versus Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Chennai. “As an eager RCB fan, I think it’s the least I can do to support fans,” he said.
Mr. Shetty said, “RCB is emotion for me and I have been a fan for many years. As a fan I wanted to do something for other fans. Even if I can’t help them with tickets to the match, it is at least what I can do.
Mr. Sultan is aware of the possibility that the crowds will gather as soon as it spreads about free rides.
Mr. Shetty said that fans are often amazed when they hear about the initiative. “It is said that they will ask, because I will not take money for ride, paying in kind, such as the original jersey as a gift. Another fan asked me to save my contact number and share the QR code wherever I go, so the account is on it,” he added.
