
Lucknow Super Giants forced a Super Over against Kolkata Knight Riders after needing 17 runs in the final over and managed to level the scores in a dramatic finish while chasing 156.The last over played by Kartik Tyagi had it all – two waist balls, a wicket and the last six from Mohammed Shami.LSG started 17 runs more than needed.

The KKR dugout, including Abhishek Nayar and Dwayne Bravo, discussed changing the bowler while captain Ajinkya Rahane also spoke to the team.However, the judges ruled that only the first beam was dangerous and the second was not, so Tyagi was allowed to continue.A free hit was then pulled by Himmat Singh to deep backward square leg for four.Tyagi responded on the next ball by dismissing Himmat. He threw a long delivery outside and Himmat scurried over and tried to pick it up. He didn’t get enough power or timing and Rinku Singh completed the catch at deep backward square leg. Himmat made 19 off 10 balls.The next ball brought another bye after Prince Yadav missed a slower short ball and Seifert again failed to collect cleanly.Tyagi then bowled a dot ball to Shami with a short delivery outside off as the bat missed his cut.LSG thus needed a six off the last ball.Tyagi played a short and wide shot outside off but Shami connected with a big hit and sent it for a six to take the game to the Super Over.The reactions spoke volumes – Rinku Singh, Dwayne Bravo and Shane Watson were left stunned while Avesh Khan was seen smiling as LSG finished the fight.
