
The Canagel Police in Nalgonde arrested two people for theft of batteries from parked vehicles, including tractors, auto-rickeys and motorcycles, across several areas in the district.
The police confiscated 28 batteries estimated to be 1.45 GBP Lakh, along with a motorcycle and auto-ricky used in crimes and 24,000 ₹ in cash.
The defendants were identified as a self -country Krishna, 28, a worker from Gollaguda and Shaikh Tip Sultan aka Sultan, 26 years, Packer and Mover of Usmanpura, both residents of Nalgonda.
After a number of complaints, including one Komatireda Karunakar Reddy of KB Thanda 27th July on July on theft of his motorcycle, the police started a special drive.
3rd August when carrying out vehicles on the road on Kanagal X on the Nalgonda-Devarakond highway, the police identified two suspicious passengers in the car and motorcycle. During the inspection, they found that 20 batteries were illegally transported and took the duo into custody.
After the interrogation, the accusation confessed to theft in several places. Another probe is taking place.
