Six injured when shooting in the neighborhood of Colorado Springs
Just a few hours later in Colorado Springs, Colorado, another shooting took place and injured at least six people in what the authorities described as a dispute that escalated to shooting.
The Colorado Springs Police Department said the shooting occurred shortly after 23 hours in the neighborhood northeast of the center.
When the officers arrived, they found several individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Four victims were transported to hospitals by an ambulance, while two others arrived in passenger vehicles. At least one person was hospitalized in a critical condition.
“At the moment, it seems that it began as an argument among more people who led to firing shots,” the police department said in an official statement.
The police continue to investigate and have not yet confirmed whether all parties involved have been identified.
Both Jackson and Colorado Springs are actively investigating incidents. In both cities, the authorities apply for public cooperation to help find suspicious and create motifs.
