45 -year -old Tusker died on Tuesday’s electric substance in a coffee farm near Tanigebail in Tarikere Taluk of Chikkamagalur.
The locals saw the dead animal and informed the officials of the forest department. Tanigebail officers of the Bhadra Wildlife Division Division Division and the local police threw themselves into the place.
Sudhakar B., RFO from the Tanigebail series, said Hindu that the animal came into contact with the live wire of the electric pole and died. The officers made a mortem on Tuesday and destroyed the carcasses.
The forest department reserved the case.
