US Director National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released a desperate warning on Tuesday, June, and claims that the world is closer to nuclear destruction than ever. The message came in a sharp three -minute video published on her personal account on X, shortly after her visit to Japan Hiroshima.
“I recently visited Hiroshima and stood in the epicenter of the city scarred unimaginable in horror caused by one nuclear bomb in 1945,” Gabbard said in the video. “What I have seen, the stories I have heard, and the scary sadness that stays will stay with me forever.”
“Closer to the brink of ever before”
Tulsi Gabbard called what she described as a ruthless global drift to a nuclear conflict, driven by political elites and warm.
“This is the reality of what is at stake, what we are facing now,” she said. “Because, as we stand here today, the brink of nuclear destruction than ever, political elite and tracksuit carefully support fear and tension between nuclear powers.”
No particular country named
Although Gabbard has delayed the name of any specific nations, its message comes at the time of increased nuclear anxiety, including Russia, China, Iran and North Korea.
Gabbard seemed to repeat the recent Russian narrative surrounding the war on Ukraine-conflict, which Trump’s administration tries to de-espákal.
Graphic shots and simulation of nuclear attack
The video includes Gabbard’s Hiroshima tour and historical archive footage of atomic bombings from 1945.
“One nuclear weapon could kill millions in just minutes today,” Gabbard warned.
“They will have shelters – we will not”
Gabbard also suggested that political leaders may be less concerned about the consequences because they have access to exclusive protection.
“Perhaps it is because they are convinced that they will have access to nuclear shelters and their families for their families, which ordinary people would not have access,” she said. “We have to reject this path to the nuclear war.”
“Require the end of this madness”
In her final appeal, Gabbard called on the public to act.
“We must reject this path to the nuclear war and work in a world where no one has to live in fear of a nuclear Holocaust,” she said. “Talk to you and require the end of this madness.”
Context: Trump’s frustration with Putin, Iran is taking place
Gabbard’s comments come when President Donald Trump expressed disappointment due to lack of progress in the ceasefire effort between Russia and Ukraine. At the same time, Trump’s administration deals with sensitive negotiations with Iran on a nuclear agreement.
