Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) launched the “Swachh Andhra-Swachh Tirumal” initiative on Saturday to maintain hygiene at the top of the temple. TTD another Executive Director Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary referred to the devotees not to blink. The initiative began with cleanliness in the “Kunkala Point” on the first Ghat road, where Mr. Chowdary was administered by Swachh Andhr’s promise to employees and started cleaning. Despite the official ban on plastic in Tirumale, pilgrims continue to liquidate plastic waste on the road. He urged them to use garbage bins. About 400 TTD employees, police, Srivari Sevaks and students participated in the drive.
