The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Tuesday unveiled an extensive plan to handle the massive influx of devotees expected for the Vaikunta Dwara Darshan at the Tirumala Lord Venkateswara Temple from December 30 to January 8. In line with its priority to ensure smooth access for ordinary pilgrims, it has introduced a number of measures to enter the 10-day festival. period.
On peak days, December 30th, 31st and January 1st which coincide with Vaikunta Ekadasi, Vaikunta Dwadasi and New Year respectively, darshan will be regulated exclusively through Electronic Dip system. Families with up to 4 members can register under the 1+3 quota between November 27 and December 1 through the TTD website, mobile app or Andhra Pradesh Government WhatsApp bot. The automated ticket draw will be announced on December 2nd. WhatsApp applicants can register by sending SMS Govinda or Hi to the official number and completing Aadhaar based verification. Each Aadhaar and mobile number can be used only once.
To streamline the crowd flow, TTD has canceled the ₹300 SED and Srivani Darshan tickets for the first 3 days and no offline Srivani tickets will be issued throughout. SSD tokens in Tirupati will remain suspended from December 30th to January 8th. From January 2 to 8, Sarva Darshan will be offered directly through Vaikuntham Queue Complex–2 without tokens. Online booking of 1000 daily Srivani and 15000 daily SED tickets for these 7 days will be opened on 5th December.
All privileged darshan formats for senior citizens, infants, disabled persons, defense personnel and NRIs are canceled during the 10-day period. Local residents will be accommodated on January 6th, 7th, and 8th under a special quota, with tokens released on December 10th. The VIP Break Darshan will be restricted to self-reported protocol dignitaries only, while all Arjita Sevas will remain suspended.
Around 125 donor families who contributed ₹1 crore and above will be extended the privilege of darshan daily from December 30 to January 8 and those who contributed ₹1,000 to ₹99 lakh will get 30 and 31 December in addition to 2,000 slots per day from January 1 online booking.
