TTD Chairman BR Naidu on Monday handed over ‘silk vastrams’ to Lord Ranganath Swamy at the renowned Srirangam temple in Tamil Nadu, reaffirming the spiritual bond between the two major Sri Vaishnava centres.
The sacrifice was made before the auspicious Kaisika Dwadasi on December 31. Srirangam Joint Commissioner P Sivaraman and head priest Sundarabhattar gave him a traditional welcome at the temple entrance and later escorted him to the sanctum sanctorum where he handed over silk robes to the deity. TTD has been offering Srirangam temple vastrams since 2006, underscoring its commitment to maintaining age-old links with historic Sri Vaishnavite temples and maintaining shared traditions.
