
Chairman of Tirumal Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Br Naida, accompanied by another executive officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary and other higher officials on Saturday (August 30) inspected a new pilgrimage complex for equipment – V (PAC – 5) in Tirumala.
During the visit, he reviewed key facilities, including accommodation halls, Kalyana Katta, toilets and distribution centers Annaprasadam. He ordered officials to ensure that all equipment was well maintained and preference to the convenience of the pilgrim.
In an interview with the media after the inspection, Mr. Br Naida stated that the project was approved in 2018 under the then TDP government and expressed the certainty that the new facility would alleviate the permanent accommodation in Tirumale.
Currently, accommodation is available for approximately 45,000 pilgrims at the top of the city. Adding PAC – 5 will create a capacity for another 2,500 pilgrims with an arrangement to accommodate 1,000 others, subject to demand.
The complex is scheduled for opening and dedicated to pilgrims by the main Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during the upcoming Brahmotsavams.
Emphasizing modern features of the device, other Eo Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary said the complex was designed with special emphasis on security and availability.
A reserved room for feeding milk for infants has been set up, while the dining room can hold 1,400 devotees for AnnaPrasadam. Other equipment includes the first aid center, Kalyana Katta and more distribution points for free meals.
