The TTD Trust Board, which met under the chairmanship of BR Naidu on Tuesday, discussed at length the controversial Parakamani scam, its widening contours, intricate twists and turns and decided to take a fresh approach to the entire episode and also unravel the conspiracy behind the compromise reached at the Lok Adalat court in Tirupati.
The board also felt that the scope of the earlier complaint filed by the then Assistant Vigilance and Security Officer (AVSO) Satish Kumre, who died recently under mysterious circumstances, was very limited, leaving many questions unanswered and unresolved.
In an exhaustive press release, the board opined that immediate steps should be taken to set aside what it believed to be a collusive Lok Adalat award dated September 9, 2023 in file II. of Additional Judicial Magistrate First Class, Tirupati.
She also decided to file a new complaint to shed light on more such thefts and embezzlements that may have been committed or swept under the carpet by senior executives in the past.
That decision was taken along with the original court complaint and deliberately structured to avoid double jeopardy, the report said.
The board also said that a detailed complaint to further uncover and detect criminal activities like theft or any other misuse/abuse of their trusteeship/membership in the TTD board will also be sought by registering a fresh complaint at the concerned police station.
The report also said the decision was purely administrative and guided by public interest aimed at preserving the sanctity, decency and protection of the faith and religious sentiments of millions of devotees worldwide.
