The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) have conducted a major overhaul of the arrangements for the Vaikunta Ekadasi Dwara Darshan, which was scheduled from December 30 to January 8, with special emphasis on crowd management during the first three days.
The meeting was chaired by another TTD executive Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary. Joint Managing Director Veerabrahmam, Chief Vigilance and Security Officer (CVSO) Muralikrishna and Tirupati Superintendent of Police Subbarayudu were present.
Terming the annual festival as a mega spiritual event, Mr. Chowdary emphasized the need for smooth coordination between TTD and police departments to ensure an incident-free pilgrimage comparable to the scale and precision of the annual Brahmotsavams.
Detailed discussions were held on the preparedness of key wings including temple administration, Annaprasadam, hygiene, reception, publicity, radio and broadcasting, Srivari Seva, vigilance and police for effective crowd control.
He further directed officials to intensify publicity, clearly informing devotees that darshan during the first three days – December 30 and 31, 2025 and January 1, 2026 – will be allowed only to those holding tokens issued through the e-DIP system. Devotees without tokens, he said, must be politely guided and facilitated for Sarva Darshan from January 2 to 8.
Mr. Chowdary directed SVBC, PR wing and radio and broadcasting units to issue continuous multi-lingual announcements at all key transit points.
Mr. Subbarayudu later briefed on security planning, risk management, multi-agency coordination and capacity mapping of events in close coordination with the security wing of the TTD.
