Trust earned by serving people is BJP’s strength: Nitin Nabin

Bharatiya Janata Party President Nitin Nabin on Friday (September 25, 2026) said the trust earned by “serving the people” was the strength of the party, on the basis of which every BJP worker was confident that the public would give it a mandate to serve the nation for decades. “The transformation in people’s lives translates into their blessings and votes for the BJP,” Mr Nabin said.

Mr. Nabin attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s remarks about the BJP’s repeated return to power while addressing the ‘Seva Sankalp Sabha’ at Dadiya near Jaipur. “The Leader of the Opposition asked why BJP governments keep coming back to power. We are being asked how we can claim to serve the people with such confidence for the next 25 years,” he said.

“That confidence comes from serving the people… It comes from winning their trust and working for them,” Mr Nabin said, questioning Mr Gandhi’s anti-establishment claim. He said the BJP’s confidence stems from the social measures taken in various sectors and the changes they have brought in people’s lives.

The BJP president said that the welfare benefits extended by the party-led government at the Center are reaching the people through direct benefit transfers. “More than 4 million houses have been built for the poor, toilets have been built for 12 million poor families, while 75 million street vendors have benefited from the PM SVANidhi scheme, which provides access to the banking system,” Mr Nabin said.

Mr Nabin applauded the performance of the ruling BJP in the recent municipal elections in Rajasthan, while affirming that the results were a testament to the development agenda of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. He said election victory should be seen as an opportunity to serve the people rather than to gain power.

The ‘Seva Sankalp Sabha’ commemorated the 110th birth anniversary of Deendayal Upadhyay, the Bharatiya Jana Sangh leader who was the forerunner of the BJP. Apart from CM Mr Sharma, BJP state president Madan Rathore and several other party leaders and public representatives attended the programme.

Mr. Nabin later attended the ‘Yuva Samvad’ (youth dialogue) program at BM Birla Auditorium in Jaipur and left for the Chief Minister’s residence to preside over an organizational meeting with BJP MPs, MLAs and divisional in-charges and co-in-charges. According to party sources, organizational matters and strategies for the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections were discussed in the meeting.
