Hours after the White House confirmed that Donald Trump is in “generally excellent health” following an MRI scan, California Governor Gavin Newsom poked fun at the statement and released a fake message to mock the US president.
In a post on X, Newsom shared a purported press release about his own health issued by Dr. Dolittle (a reference to the 1998 comedy of the same name starring Eddie Murphy).
A statement from Dr. Dolittle, who has been described as the governor’s physician/Chief of Peak Human Performance, says, “As part of Governor Gavin Newsom’s annual physical visit, we performed advanced imaging of his cardiovascular, musculoskeletal and neurological health. I am pleased to report that nothing about the governor’s health is just ‘normal.’

“Governor Newsom remains the healthiest person currently living or recorded in medical history,” the fake entry said.
The report went on to describe the California governor’s cardiovascular scans as “the best we’ve ever seen”, while Newsom’s bone density was described as “exceptional (the radiologist briefly wondered if we were scanning redwoods)”.
The somewhat lengthy note then went on to talk about Newsom’s cognitive health, saying that “imaging of the Democratic governor’s brain showed no problems other than an unusually active area associated with intelligence, multitasking and wild pre-sunrise productivity.”
However, the above lines were only the tip of the iceberg, as the fake memo launched an all-out attack on Trump in its later paragraphs.
“While we do not typically comment on the health of other elected officials, we are aware of a letter released today by the White House stating that President Trump is in ‘excellent health,'” the memo said.

“We simply note that Governor Newsom goes through entire work days without falling asleep in meetings, doesn’t need ‘executive time’ to lie down and watch TV during work hours, and is able to stand tall without looking like the Leaning Tower of Pisa,” he added, referring to a recent incident in which the US president was shown closing his eyes during an Oval Office announcement.
“If the side-by-side health chart has been released, we recommend that it be redacted for the President’s emotional well-being,” was the brutal conclusion of the memo, which was very obviously intended to mock the White House’s update on Trump’s health.

Trump’s MRI image in the spotlight
Newsom’s fake report comes not only against the backdrop of White House confirmation of Trump’s excellent health, but also amid intense speculation about the US president’s MRI report.
Trump underwent an MRI on October 10 during a visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Before the White House statement, Trump told reporters he had “no idea” which part of his body was being scanned, but confidently added that his brain was not under the scanner.
The episode erupted after Trump was asked by a reporter about Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s comment that the US president should release his MRI report.
Walz’s comment, in turn, came in response to Trump calling him “retarded” in a Thanksgiving night post on Truth Social.
