President Donald Trump’s administration plans to intensify the enforcement of immigration in the workplace after the Hyundai facility in Georgia, which resulted in hundreds of arrests, said the Bílý House Border Tom Homan on Sunday (September 7).
Homan said at CNN and said, “We will perform more operations for enforcement in the workplace. No one hires an illegal alien from the goodness of our hearts. They hire them because they can work harder, pay them less, undermine the competition that hires US civic employees.”
The Holy City focused on another
Homan confirmed that Chicago and other shrines could see coercive measures next week.
“Absolutely. You can expect an action in most of the shrine across the country,” Homan said. “President Trump favored the sanctuary because the shrines of cities consciously release illegal foreign threats of public security for the streets every day. This is where the problem is.”
He added: “We do not have this problem in Florida, where every sheriff and boss work for us, correctly or Texas, so we had to send more resources to problem areas, which are shrines.”
Coordination with local officials
Homan pushed back to Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker assertion that civil servants were not informed of potential operations.
“Governor Pritzker has been informed since the first day,” he said. “Ice agents have been flooding the zone in Chicago for some time. We were there last week. We were there a week before.”
Homan also indicated that the National Guard could be deployed to help with extensive efforts to enforce.
Homan stressed that promotion focuses on employers and criminal elements, not US citizens: “We are sending more sources to all the shrine. But that is not new to him (Pritzker’s government). He knows we were there. Mayor, Johnson, could not cooperate with us.”
Trump proposes Chicago as a goal
President Trump has repeatedly suggested that Chicago could be another focus on federal immigration operations. Recent administration events follow the months of stricter rhetoric about illegal immigration and the use of federal resources to target the cities of the shrine.
Saturday Trump published Meme on Truth Social Referring to the Vietnamese war film Apocalypse from 1979 now shows the Chicago panorama with flames and helicopters that brought criticism for their militaristic films.
Homan defended his place and said, “It’s excluded from context. Trump’s administration will only be in war with criminals and those who violate immigration laws.”
Impact on industry and workers
During the raid of Georgia Hyundai, the authorities arrested 475 people to violate immigration, most of which were South Korean nationals. According to ICE officials, some crossed the limit illegally, while others held a visa that did not allow employment.
The South Korean government said the workers would be returned after the completion of administrative procedures.
