US President Donald Trump has not confirmed whether another 25% of tariffs announced on Wednesday (August 6, 2025), Indian exports to the US, for a new dille trade and energy with Moscow, would be canceled if Russia and Ukraine agreed to remunerate.

“Well, we will determine it later, but now 50% of the tariff pays,” Mr. Trump told the reporter, who asked if another 25% tariff on top of 25% “reciprocal tariff” will go after a ceasefire.
Mr. Trump learned at an event at the White House with the CEO of Apple Tim Cook, where Apple’s plans were announced to invest another $ 100 billion in the US. The President said he would store a tariff approximately 100% on computer chips and semiconductors produced outside the US
Mr. Trump reportedly told European allies to have a personal meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin next week and had plans for watching with Mr. Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Also on Wednesday on Wednesday, Mr. Putin met Mr. Trump’s special envoy on Wednesday.
“Productive” interviews
Mr. Trump described interviews as “productive” and said he didn’t know if other tariffs in India had something to do with it.

“And as you know, we put a 50% tariff on India on oil. They are the second largest (Russian oil buyers). They are very close to China when it comes to buying oil from Russia.
After depositing other tariffs in India for trading in arms and energy with Russia, US President Donald Trump said that other countries could follow a lawsuit, suggesting China on behalf of as a possibility.
Asked why he “chooses India” for other tariffs, Mr. Trump said, “It was only eight hours. We’ll see what happens above … you will see much more. You will see so many secondary sanctions,” he said.
