So far, the EU has not been able to ensure liberation from the American tariff for its careful wine industry, but the negotiations will continue, Sefcovic added according to the report. Thus, 15 % of the tariff will apply to wine and spirits balanced from the EU.
“Unfortunately, we failed here. These doors are not closed forever,” Safcovic said at a press conference that refers to European wine and spirits, because Brussels and Washington published a joint statement with details of their business agreement.
