President Donald Trump said he would sign a peace deal between Thailand and Cambodia “immediately” after his arrival in Malaysia on Sunday.
Speaking on Truth Social while aboard Air Force One en route to Asia, Trump said the Thai prime minister, who asked to move the signing after the death of the kingdom’s queen mother, would be there “when we land.”
“I am on my way to Malaysia to sign the great peace agreement I proudly brokered between Cambodia and Thailand. The Queen Mother of Thailand has unfortunately just passed away. My condolences to the Great People of Thailand. I will see their great Prime Minister when we land. To accommodate everyone for this momentous event, we will sign the peace soon after our arrival. Goodbye!” Trump said.
(This is a developing story. More to come)
