The US Ambassador-Design Sergio Gor Gor on Saturday interviewed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about various questions and said that President Donald Trump considered PM a great and personal friend.
The note comes in the middle of the voltage in India-USA and the link to Trump’s 50 % of tariffs, including 25 % of the Indian purchase of Russian oil.
Sergio Gor also noted that the US appreciates his relationship with India.
“I had an incredible meeting with Prime Minister Modim. We discussed bilateral issues, including defense, trade and technology. We also discussed the importance of critical minerals,” Sergio Gor said.
Gor is on a six -day visit to the new Delh of the day after the Senate confirmed his appointment of an American envoy in India.
After meeting with the Prime Minister, Post X, Gor confirmed that Washington’s relationship with the new Delh would only strengthen in the coming months.
Meanwhile, Modi also expressed the confidence that India-USA’s links would further strengthen during Gor’s tenure.
“I am glad that you will receive Mr. Sergio Gora, Ambassador-Design in the US to India. I believe that his tenure will further strengthen India-American complex global strategic partnership,” PM Modi said in post X.
Previously on the day, Minister of external matters with Jaishankar also interviewed Goro.
“Today, we are pleased with the Ambassador proposed by Sergio Gor in the US. He discussed the relationship in India and its global significance,” Jaishankar said on social media.
“I wish him the best for his new responsibility,” he said.
He will also lead to the rest of some capital central Missings.
Just before the second phone call for more than three weeks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Trump to the “success” of the first phase of the US -mediated peace plan for Gaza and also reviewed “good progress” achieved in business negotiations.
“He spoke to my friend, President Trump, and congratulated him on the success of the historical peace plan of Gaza. He also reviewed good progress in business negotiations. He agreed to remain close in contact in the coming weeks,” Modi said on social media.
Modi also led a telephone conversation with his friend Benjamin Netanyahu.
“We welcome an agreement to release hostages and improved humanitarian aid to people in Gaza. He reaffirmed that terrorism in any form or manifestation is unacceptable anywhere in the world,” he said to X.
