London, 18th August (PTI), President of Business Advisor Donald Trump Peter Navarro killed India for what dubbed as an “opportunistic” purchase of oil from Russia and said that the new Dill must act as a US strategic partner.
In the “The Financial Times” column, on Monday, the White House advisor accused India of negotiations as a global Clearinghouse for Russian oil by transforming embargoed oil into exports with a high value.
“India’s addiction on Russian oil is opportunistic and deeply corrosive world efforts to insulate the Putin war economy,” Navarro writes.
“In fact, India acts as a global clearinghouse for Russian oil and converts oil embargo into exports with a high value, while giving Moscow dollars it needs,” he says.
Navarro opens with the so-called “mathematics” of Russian-India ties and claims that US consumers buy Indian goods and then these dollars are used to buy discounted Russian oil.
“The fact that Russian oil is improved and sold worldwide by Indian professional professional league with silent Russian partners – while Russian pockets of hard currencies finance their war machine in Ukraine. “He writes.
Navarro continues to attack India for storing what they say are one of the highest average tariffs in the world, along with a dense network barrier that will “punish” American workers and businesses.
“As a result, the US runs a massive business deficit with India and is approaching $ 50 billion per year. And here’s Kicker: India uses these trade dollars to buy Russian oil,” he says.
According to the White House advisor, the growth in Indian oil has not been imported since February 2022 by the needs of domestic oil consumption, but “profiteering” “large oil lobby” of the country.
“Refiner companies have turned India into a massive refiner node for discounted Russian raw. Refiners buy oil with a steep discount, process it and then export refined fuels to Europe, Africa and Asia – and protect India from pretending to pretend neutrality,” he writes.
In the defense of Trump’s recent executive order, Delhi hit the exaggerated trade tariffs, and his helper further claims that India will still kill the door about American exports through barriers.
Navarro claims that while Delhi has become more and more turned to the US, France and Israel to satisfy their defense, these shops often come up with the attached strings.
It concludes: “Trump’s administration will confront this. The recent executive order issued by the President will deposit 25 % of the National Security tariff on Indian goods to deal with the threat representing India continuing imports of Russian oil.
“This two-point policy will hit India, where they hurt-they are accessing to the American markets-when trying to cut off the financial rope, it has spread to Russian war efforts. If it wants to be treated as a US strategic partner, it must start to act as one.”
Trump has ordered a total of 50 percent of India, of which 25 percent of them for purchases of Russian oil in Delhi, which will come into force from 27 August.
India, which responded to tariffs, said that India’s targeting is unjustified and undue.
India said that, like any main economy, it will require all necessary measures to protect their national interests and economic security.
