The Tripura Government in significant pressure to strengthen the position of women and strengthening the enforcement of the rights hired 975 constable, of which 332 women, in what officials have described as the only largest induction of female workers in the history of the state.
Main Minister Dr. Manik Saha gave the letters of appointment to the office held on Tuesday (May 13, 2025), attended by higher police officers and civil administration. The incorporation of 332 women into the last recruitment is considered to be a remarkable step towards the diversification of the state’s police forces and promoting sex.

Saha Saha Saha said that the state said that the state has witnessed a remarkable decline in the rate of crime in recent years. He stressed that the government now favors the creation of Nesha Mukt Tripura (without drugs tripura) and aligns recruitment efforts with a wider effort to reduce narcotics and social crimes.
“The government focuses not only on the workforce, but also to actively develop the necessary infrastructure to support our police and social objectives,” he said.

However, the claims of the main minister on the reduction of crime are commonly questioned by opposition parties, including CPI (M) and Congress. On more occasions, both parties aroused concerns about what they claim to be a deteriorating situation in the area of law and order in a state that faces government narrative with alternative data and accounts for a reason.
