The District Collector Arjun Pandian was looking for detailed reports from the police, the Regional Transport Office (RTO) and the India National Motorway Office regarding the serious transport overload along the National Motorway-544 section, caused by the ongoing construction work on the submers and the overpass along the section.
To assess the progress of construction work and find the immediate solution of the problem of operation, the collector announced that next week a high -level meeting will be convened, which concerns all concerned representatives of all elected representatives. This is followed by an earlier meeting, which took place on April 22 in the collector, where they participated in the parties, including the police representative, the regional official for regional transport and Nhai officials. During this meeting, a joint working group was created to meet to meet a week and submit updates on measures taken to alleviate traffic jams.
Toll collection
The collector noted that the formal request has already been submitted to the State Government and recommended a temporary suspension of tolls on the Paliyekkar toll square until construction work was completed or overloaded.
