Training program for Census Officers begins in Cuddalore
A three-day training program for Census 2027 enumerators, supervisory officers and technical assistants began here at the Cuddalore Collectorate on Monday.
According to Collector Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar, preparations for Census 2027 are currently underway in the district.
As part of the first phase, an inventory and counting of houses and apartments will take place from August 1 to 31. The 2027 census in the state will be conducted entirely using modern digital technology using online data entry and data entry systems. Self-enumeration will be introduced for the first time in the 2027 census from July 17 to July 31.
The Chief Census Officer and District Collector have appointed 10 tahsildars, six municipal commissioners, 14 panchayat executive officers and one township officer (Neyveli) in the district as supervisory officers. In the second phase, census commissioners would conduct the population census.
