In the tragic incident, three family members lost their lives after the fire broke out due to an explosion in the air conditioning compressor in the house in the Faridabad district in Haryana.
The incident occurred in the Faridabad Green Field early on Sunday morning.
The explosion occurred around 3 hours on the second floor of a four -storey building while the family slept.
According to preliminary information, the fire reportedly began after the explosion in the compression unit of the air conditioning, which led to the spread of heavy smoke throughout the building.
The inhabitants of the area, Shalini, also said, “We are their neighbors. We learned that the smoke has spread through the whole building due to an explosion in AC compression. Four people were in the house. Three died. The police are present on the spot.”
According to neighbors, there were four individuals at the time of the incident.
The victims that remained on the first floor were identified as Sachin Kapoor (49), his wife Rinka Kapoor (48) and their daughter Sujjain (13).
The son of a pair of Aryan Kapoor (24) survived the explosion by jumping from the balcony.
He suffered fractures in his feet and is currently treated in a hospital.
The family tried to escape to the roof, but the door was locked, leading to the suffocation and death of three members and their domestic dog, reporting about India and quoting the police.
Another incident investigation is underway.
