The city police announced extensive traffic restrictions across Hyderabad and Secunderabad with regard to Ganesh Immersion Prossion 6 September. Curbs, aimed at mitigating overload and ensure public security, will remain in force on 6 September until the evening of 7 September and can be extended if necessary.
The main parade will enter from Hyderabad from Balapur and will pass Keshavagiri, Chandrayangutta, Falaknuma, Aliabad, Charminar, Afzalgunj, Abids, Basheerbagag, Liberty, Ambedkar Sculpture, Sculptor Marg and PVNR Marg. Along the way, other processes from Secunderab, Uppal, Tarnaka, Mehdipatnam, Tolichowki, Erragadda and Asifnagar are joined. No other operation other than the iDol vehicles will be allowed on these routes during immersion.

The odds of vehicles will be forced on several points, including Keshavagiri, Chandrayangutta X Road, Moosarambaghagh, Chaderghat, Afzalgunj, MJ Bridge, Liberty Junction, RTC X Roads, Paradise, Ranigunj, Patny and Tank Bund. It is recommended to use the inner circular road, an outer circular road or the Masab – Punjagutta – Begumpet – Secunderebad corridor to prevent overload.
Parking for devotees and visitors will be arranged at designated places such as NTR stadium, public gardens, necklaces (back side Buddha Bhavan), Adarsh Nagar, Khairatabad MMTS Station and Institute of Engineers.
Empty trucks after immersion will have to leave the city across the necklace road and Khairatabad overpass and heavy commercial vehicles, trailers and construction equipment will not be allowed to the city from 8:00 to 23:00 to 23:00 7 September.
RTC buses will also face restrictions, while the city services were limited in entrance points such as Masab Tank, VV statue, CTO, Tarnaka, Ramanthapur, Gaddi Annaram and Sadan. Inter-state and district buses bound to MGB will be diverted through alternative routes including JBS, YMCA, Tarnaka, Vidyanagar and Chaderghat, depending on their origin. Private travel buses were directed to work outside the city.
Police Commissioner Hyderabad, CV Anand, appealed to the public to cooperate with measures and stated that the auxiliary lines were set up for leadership at 040-27852482, 8712660600 and 9010203626.
74 Artificial ponds arranged for immersion
Meanwhile, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation announced special measures to immerse Ganesh Idol and set up 74 artificial ponds throughout the city to relieve the pressure on HussaainSagar and other main tanks. These include 24 temporary portable water tanks, 23 temporary ponds of the excavation and 27 permanent children’s ponds spread over the zones.
Each pond will be managed by a suspended officer and supported by nodal officials, hygienic teams, cranes, medical camps and vehicles for removing waste working in three shifts to ensure smooth immersion.
The immersion will take place in 20 main tanks, including Hussaainsagar, Saroor Nagar, IDL and Safilguda, except for artificial ponds, allowing devotees to complete the rituals closer to the home.
