Traffic for vehicles including trucks and lorries will be diverted on key stretches including the Chennai-Bengaluru Highway (NH 48) in Tirupattur district on February 14 due to the visit of Chief Minister and DMK President MK Stalin to the district.

According to a press release, the diversion of traffic for vehicles is aimed at facilitating smooth flow of traffic on key routes in the district during the Chief Minister’s visit.

According to the plan, vehicles coming from Vellore, Ambur and Vaniyambadi towards Tirupattur should avoid using Tirupattur Main Road. Instead, vehicles should take the Link Road of Chennai – Bengaluru Highway (NH 48) to Tirupattur town.

Similarly, vehicles from Tirupattur town going towards Vaniyambadi, Ambur and Vellore towns should use Vengalapuram Koot Road – Madapalli – Alangayam to reach these towns.

Buses to Dharmapuri, Bengaluru, Krishnagiri and Hosur will be operated from Krishna Silks in Tirupattur. Likewise, buses to Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, Salem and Chennai will be operated from Tirupattur bus depot.
