
The Kochi city police have imposed traffic restrictions in connection with the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifier between the national football teams of India and Hong Kong, which will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kaloor on Tuesday.
Spectators coming from West Kochi, Vypeen and nearby areas are advised to park their vehicles along Chathyath Road and use public transport systems including Metro to reach the stadium.
Vehicles coming from Paravur, Thrissur and Malappuram areas should be safely parked around Aluva and along Container Road. Vehicles coming from Idukki, Kottayam and Perumbavoor should be parked in Thripunithura and Kakkanad areas. Vehicles coming from southern areas including Alappuzha should be safely parked in Kundannoor and Vyttila areas.
Heavy vehicles carrying spectators will not be allowed to enter the city.
After 5 pm, vehicles traveling from Ernakulam towards Edappally, Cheranalloor, Aluva and Kakkanad should turn left at Kaloor junction and proceed via Pottakkuzhy-Mamangalam Road, BTS Road and Elamakkara Road to Edappally.
After 5 pm, vehicles from Cheranalloor, Edappally, Aluva, Kakkanad and Palarivattom towards Ernakulam should take Vyttila Junction and SA Road.
