
The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory to ensure smooth traffic in key areas of the national capital in view of the upcoming film festival scheduled to be held from March 25 to March 31.
Entry to Bharat Mandapam will be allowed through Gate No. 4 on Bhairon Marg and Gate No. 10 near Supreme Court Metro Station.
The advice includes detours, traffic restrictions and general instructions from the traffic police. Commuters have also been advised to plan their journeys in advance.
Anticipating a large gathering at the Bharat Mandapam, traffic police have announced restrictions on vehicles in areas around Mathura Road and Bhairon Marg.
The restriction will apply from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
While the Bharat Mandapam, located in the Pragati Maidan complex, is the main venue of the festival, screenings will also be held in multiplexes across Delhi.
The notice states that parking will be prohibited in the affected sections. Vehicles parked in violation of regulations may be towed and fined. Commuters are advised to strictly follow parking rules to avoid inconvenience.
Parking facilities will be available at Basement Parking No. 1 (Entrance from Bhairon Marg) and Basement Parking No. 2 (Entrance from Mathura Road), along with surface parking at Bhairon Mandir and National Stadium.

To ease congestion, commuters are advised to:

Choose public transport where possible

The International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD) 2026 will offer free public screenings, discussions, workshops and cultural programs. Several big names in Indian and international cinema are expected to attend the week-long event, including Vicky Kaushal, Hema Malini, Bhumi Pednekar, Rana Daggubati and Madhur Bhandarkar.
The festival will be launched at the Bharat Mandapam with a red carpet ceremony hosted by Arjun Kapoor and Nimrat Kaur. Actors Anupam Kher, Sanya Malhotra and Siddhant Chaturvedi will also attend the opening night, which will include a gala screening of the Oscar-nominated film Sirat.
