In an attempt to revive and celebrate the rich heritage of traditional sports, the Foundation Prakruti on Sunday organizes a special wrestling tournament in Mysur.
The event will take place on the multipurpose sports land D. Devaraj Urs, Doddakere Maidan. MEP MEP Yadveer Krishhnadatt Chamaraja Wadiyar will be the main guest and the winning couple will present “Wadiyar Cup”.
The tournament will present more than 40 pairs of wrestlers, men and women, Karnataka and other countries. The aim of the competition is to support the traditional match and encouraging public participation in indigenous sports, the press release said.
Admission is free.
