Various central trade unions welcomed the notice of the ceasefire between India and Pakistan and called for peace in the interest of the working population.

The General Secretary of the Center for Indian Trade Unions (Cit) Tapan Dream said in his statement that after receiving reports on the stop of the war, people from both countries disappeared with great relief because they needed peace for their own progress.
“He honestly hopes that India and Pakistan should rebuild mutual trust and cooperation in the establishment and eradication of the threat of terrorism, which is inhuman in nature and strives to support our historical bonds and relationships to new heights that would bring not only for both countries but to the whole region. National Secretary of Bharatiya Mazdor Sangh V. Radhakrishnan congratulated Indian defensive forces for exploiting terrorism and teaching Pakistan lesson. “We welcome the ceasefire. However, we invite the government to keep the situation cautiously, because Pakistan cannot be trusted and it is not a modern society,” he said.
The CTU on the opposition side will meet on May 15 to review preparations for a one -day general strike called 20 May against the proposed performance of four working codes. The Sangh Parivar trade union, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, asked the opposition CTU to drop all protests as a result of the Sindoor operation.
