Trade unions leaning on the left tilted all indies of trade unions (Aituc) and the Center of Indian Trade Unions (Cit) have questioned the recent decision of the Railway Council to reconnect retirement employees on the basis of contracts as volunteers against uninvited united functions. On Monday (23rd June 2025), trade unions urged the unions to organize immediate recruitment in railways.
The Railway Council issued an order on June 20 of the Railway Divisory Managers to appoint retired employees as volunteers in non -negotiated positions.
“Unjust practices”
The Secretary General Aituc Amarjeet Kaur said that when Crores of the unemployed youth is waiting for a job, the decision of the Board of Directors to appoint retiring is a matter of very serious concern.
