South Africa’s captain Laura Wolvaardt has so far created a tournament at the Women’s World Cup 2025, creating one -handed stunners during a collision against New Zealand to release Lea. The catch took place on the last ball 47. The New Zealand shifts were looking for a border to ease the pressure during breaks of death.
Wolvaardt, however, flew in the air to complete the catch with some magnifying glass and also had subdued celebrations. It was not the same for the team of comments and her teammates who appreciated Wolvaardt for her efforts and ran to her. Below you can watch a complete catch video:

South Africa limits New Zealand to 231
New Zealand shifts began in the worst way when they lost Suzie Bates from the first ball when Marizanne Kapp was imprisoned in front of the stumps. Amelia Kerr and Georgia Plimmer lasted shifts a little before being released.
This brought Sophie Devine to the center, which continued its fine form with a bat. Devine received support from Brooke HalliDay when the duo put on 86 runs and set the platform to make white ferns to a large score.
Devine got to her fifty in 66, and New Zealand seemed to be offensive. HalliDay’s goal, however, made it possible to open the floods when the South Africa returned to the competition with disciplined bowling and top field.
Nonkulucoo Mlaba took four goals for 40 runs and released Devine in 85 when New Zealand went from 187 for four to 231 versatile in 9.4 overs.
