The proposal to convert the beach into a vibrant recreational space has an expenditure of ₹3,46,77,780, a press release said on Thursday (November 6).
Key features include the construction of an aesthetically pleasing entrance gate, a spacious parking lot and clear, informative signage. PA Minister of Tourism and Public Works Mohamed Riyas recently inaugurated the first phase of the project.
The minister said the second phase of the beach will also host buffets, shops and various food stalls to cater to various culinary tastes. “This will transform the beach into a vibrant and welcoming recreational space full of activities and opportunities for relaxation and fun,” Mr Riyas added.
Improvements include well-maintained paths, comfortable benches, secure boundary walls and modern lighting to create a pleasant atmosphere. For families, the beach will offer engaging facilities, including a movie POD with climbing frames for children and landscaped gardens.
Other features will include litter bins for cleanliness, an outdoor gym, public toilets and a well-equipped and safe playground for children.
