
The tourism department called on requests for the establishment of houses in the tribal villages as part of the Central Government project – the development of families in tribal areas. The Ministry of Tourism has adopted this project within Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya unnat Gram Abhiyan (PMJuga).
In a press release of Shivamogg District Administration on Sunday, she said that the recipients of the selected within this project will receive a subsidy of up to 5 Lakh per 5 ₹ for the project. In the district of Shivamogg, Viruupinakoppa Muddinakoppa Gram Panchayat and Sadashivapura from B. Beeranhalli Panchayat were selected for the project. Recipients get up to 5 lakh to set up home and up to 3 lakh for renovation.
The Union’s cabinet approved PMJuga on September 18, 2024. As part of this mission, the Ministry of Tourism proposed the development of tribal houses. It suggests developing 1,000 families in the country. The aim of this program is to promote responsible tourism and strengthen the opportunities for the living community.
People who are interested in using the benefits of the system can submit applications until August 11, along with documents, including caste certificate, Aadhar cards, home documents, photographs and a certificate of non -discovery from Gram Panchayat.
