The Delegation of the Indian Association of Touroperators (Iato) on Tuesday (June 17, 2025) met with the main Minister Jamm and Omar Abdullah Kashmir to discuss the revival of tourism in the state that was affected by the terrorist attacks of Pahalgam.
The 30 -member delegation was led by Ravi Gosain, Iato President.

Mr. Abdullah assured the security and security delegation and called on them to spread the word Kashmir could travel. The meeting was also present Yasha Mudgal, the Department of Tourism Commissioner and Commissioner and Raja Yaqooob Farooq, Tourism-Kašmír director, Iato said in a statement.
The delegation met CM as part of the three -day “Rubaroo Jammu and Kashmir” campaign from Iato.
“It was important to assess the ground situation and during our three -day tour we found that the state was as safe as in any other place. In addition, we have assurances from the highest layers of government and it gives us all the huge confidence and I am sure that the flow of tourists to the state would return at the time.
Iato earlier said that after the incident of Pahalgam was almost 40% of the abolition of tours.
“Obviously, the sentiment has been hit, but it is important to restore confidence and revive tourism. The visit is a step in this direction and we are completely satisfied with the security measures,” Gosain added.
Iato is the national body of tourism. It has more than 1600 members covering all tourism segments. Was founded in 1982.
