Tottenham Hotspur issued a statement confirming that its majority participating party rejected two takeover offers and does not want to sell the London Premier League Club. Former SPURS chairman Daniel Levy resigned last week and ended his nearly 25 -year government under the ENIC owners, who is controlled by Lewis Family Trust.
Levy’s departure supported speculation that the owners of the SPURS of most could be open to the sale of the club, with more media reports connecting the former common owner of Newcastle United Amanda Poleley with a potential offer on the side of North London.
In its statement on Sunday, however, the club explained that Enic Sports & Development Holdings LTD “unequivocally” refused two preliminary takeover approaches from Staveley’s PCP International Finance Limited and another of the consortium led by Dr. Roger Kennedy and Wing-Fai NG through Firehawk Holdings Limited.
“As a result of ENIC’s majority assets in Tottenham Hotspur, any offer to obtain Enic and completion was made, according to Rule 9 (British takeover) code, a mandatory offer will be required to obtain Tottenham Hotspur shares that are no longer held,” said the statement.
“The Club and ENIC Council confirms that Tottenham Hotspur is not for sale and Enic does not intend to accept such an offer to gain her interest in the club.
“In accordance with Rule 2.6 (a) the Code, each of the PCP and consortium is independently required, no later than 17:00 on October 5, 2025, either to announce the firm intention to make the company’s offer in accordance with Rule 2.7 of the Code, or notify that it is a bid. “
The ENIC, the majority of the club’s party, is dominated by British entrepreneur Joe Lewis and his family, who also owns the Tavistock Group, a private capital company.
In April Tottenham appointed Vinai Venkatesham as the CEO and after Daniel Levy’s departure he introduced a new role as a non -performance chairman. At the time of Levy’s departure, the club stressed that there would be no change in ownership or structure of shareholders.
