From April 1, commuting passengers will have to pay higher toll fees in the Bengalur International Airport (KIA) or the satellite town of Ring Road. The Indian National Highway Office (Nhai) has a toll revision on more squares, including sadhalli at NH 7 (Kia Road), as well as Hulikunte and Devanahalli on NH 648 (Strr). This annual increase is tied to the wholesale price index (WPI), a key economic indicator.
Toll revisions will affect all categories of road users, including private owners of vehicles, taxis, ride services, airport cabins and Bengalur buses Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) operating Vayu Vajra at the airport. Fare hike could lead to an increase in ticket prices if BMTC decides to hand over additional costs to passengers.
New tariff
Under the new tariff will be cars, jeeps, vans and other lightweight motor vehicles passing through the toll deputy Sadahalli (22.12 km) now charged 120 GBP for one -way road and 180 GBP for the return journey to the same day. The monthly pass covering 50 individual roads will cost 3,970 GBP, compared to the current 3,835 GBP. Light commercial vehicles and minibuses will see how their toll fees will increase to 185 GBP for a one -way journey and 275 GBP for the return journey, while the monthly pass costs 6,100 GBP, out of 5,890 GBP.

Heavy vehicles such as trucks and buses also notice an increase in fees. The revised Sadahalli fee will be 370 GBP for a one -way road, 550 GBP for a return journey and 12,265 GBP for a monthly card, compared to the current 355, 535 GBP and 11,845 GBP.
Those traveling along the 42 km section from Dobbspet to Doddaballapur via Strr will have to pay 110 GBP for one trip, 165 GBP for their return and 3,615 GBP for a monthly pass to Hulikunte Toll Plaza. These rates are raised from existing 105, 155 GBP and 3,490 GBP.
Similarly, motorists using 34.15 km Doddaballapur bypass to the Hoskote segment Strr will now be charged 85 GBP for one -way road and 125 GBP for the return trip to Devanahali Tolli Plaza, compared to current 70 GBP and 105 GBP.
The highest revenue from the toll
Toll Plaza Devanahali (Sadahalli), located near the International KEVEGOWDA Airport, recorded its highest Crore in the fiscal year in 2023-24 in the fiscal year.
Meanwhile, the annual revision of tolls, usually a diameter of around 5%, takes effect of 1 April for most of the toll motorways and highways in the country. The Nhai official said that these regular toll adjustments are part of a standard policy that is in line with inflation changes on the basis of WPI.
