Toddler dies after falling into water tank near Gudiyatham

A three-year-old boy died after falling into a water tank at his home in Bojanapuram village on Saturday.

The victim was identified as M. Akash, son of married couple V. Madesh, 30, and M. Jayalakshmi, 28. As the couple was busy keeping their relatives busy in the house, they left the boy on the verandah of the house where he was playing with some toys. Only after some time, when they went to search for him, they found the boy’s body in the tank.

On being informed, Gudiyatham city police inspected the spot. The body was sent for post-mortem to Government Taluk Hospital in Gudiyatham. A case has been registered. A probe is underway.
