Toddler dies after being run over by speed traveler

A three-year-old toddler died after being run over by a speeding traveler on the Kumbichal Kadavu Bridge in Amboori on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Rithuveda, a native of Kuttiyanikad. According to police, the passenger in the tempo parked on the bridge when a group of passengers got off. The vehicle reportedly moved forward due to a suspected handbrake malfunction. Both the child and her mother Nisha were injured in the accident. Though they were rushed to a private hospital near Kattakada, the child’s life could not be saved.
